With a zest for the game personified by his traditional Opening Day back-flip, Ozzie Smith was not only the most respected shortstop of the 1980's, but one of the most popular. His flawless fielding and timely hitting helped spark the Cardinals to a World Championship in 1982 and National League crowns in 1985 and 1987. This bat dates from Ozzie's later career during which he won a Silver Slugger award, made the NL All-Star team each summer and took home the Golden Glove Award each fall. Ozzie's Cooper C235 bat has been made game ready and is un-cracked. His immortal number "1" is on the knob and the Hall of Famer has signed the barrel along with the inscription "Good Luck, Best Wishes". A flawless example of one of the 1980's most popular stars. Letter of Authentication from PSA/DNA (1B08414). Also comes with singled LOA from Curt Schilling.
