Walter Camp and Amos Alonzo Stagg are two of the biggest names of the football world from the earliest days of the game. Camp also played baseball at Yale, was one of the team’s best pitchers, and was also an accomplished writer and journalist. Camp covered the 1888 Yale baseball team, which also had Amos Alonzo Stagg as the pitching portion of its battery. This 11 x 14 inch image depicts 10 images of the Yale baseball team including Walter Camp in the lower right as “Our Correspondent,” with two images of Stagg, one on the right hand side as “Sending a Whistler” and in the upper left as part of “Yale’s Famous Battery.” Very nice overall condition, very clean without any major issues. Framed to a dimension of 16.75 x 20 inches. A must for any Yale sports collector.
