A power prodigy in his first season in the Big Leagues, Chicago White Sox first baseman Jose Abreu quickly established himself as one of baseball’s premier power hitters. This Official Major League Selig baseball was deposited into section 147 at Chicago’s Comerica Park by Abreu for his 31st homer of the 2014 campaign on July 29. The two-run home run came in the top of the seventh inning off Detroit pitcher Joakim Soria and helped Abreu tie Miguel Cabrera for the American League lead in RBIs at the time with 81. The baseball shows typical game-use, including light discoloration throughout and a scuff mark near the sweet spot. The game-used baseball comes with a COA signed by Justin Pidruzny, who purchased the baseball off the fan who caught Abreu’s home run. Two photos for identification purposes are supplied, as well as a game ticket. A “Certified Authentic” holographic sticker appears on the ball, number “340399.” This baseball is not MLB authenticated and you are bidding based on the provenance provided.
