Inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1974, Mickey “The Mick” Mantle played 18 historic seasons in the Major League with the New York Yankees. Mantle was awarded American League MVP three times, AL All-Star 20 times, an AL Gold Glove Award, an AL Triple Crown, and won seven World Series championships. Regarded as the greatest switch hitter of all time, Mantle finished his career with 536 home runs, the third highest at the time of his retirement. This black and white photograph of Mickey Mantle’s 500th home run is signed and inscribed “536 HR’s” in silver metallic paint pen. Mantle hit his 500th homer, May 14, 1967, batting left-handed at Yankee Stadium vs. Baltimore Orioles’ right-handed pitcher Stu Miller. This item is accompanied by a COA from Michael A.
