In his sixth full season with the Baltimore Orioles Cal Ripken Jr. played in every game on the schedule for the fifth consecutive year and finished the season with 927 consecutive games played. Playing for his father Cal Sr. in the old man’s rookie season as manager and alongside his brother Billy at second base, Jr. equaled his career-high 27 home runs with 98 RBI and was named to his fifth straight American League All-Star team. Ripken appears to have gotten good use out of this size-48 Rawlings button down white home jersey which shows moderate to heavy wear with a smattering of pine-tar, dirt and perhaps tobacco juice stains. The Orioles cursive logo is sewn in orange and black tackle twill across the front above Ripken’s number eight. Riken’s name is stitched onto a white nameplate in the same orange and black above his number on the back with orange, black and white piping ringing the sleeves and collar. Rawlings manufacturers label is sewn into left front tail with “1 87 set” patch attached; comes with LOA from noted sports jersey expert Dave Miedema.
