One aspect of Joe DiMaggio’s game was his tremendous base running ability. He had good speed, but knew how to slide. One of his famous slides was the “Lombardi Snooze” in the 1939 World Series clinching game. This 16 x 20 inch photo captures DiMaggio’s patented hook slide, avoiding a futile tag by the catcher at home plate. Below is a black marker “Joe DiMaggio” signature.
