Two Kentucky legends on one piece! Legendary Kentucky basketball coach Adolph Rupp, he of 876 coaching victories and four National Titles, signed and inscribed this photo to legendary Kentucky basketball broadcaster Claude Sullivan. The black and white 8 x 10 inch photo reads “To Claude With My Best Wishes Adolph F. Rupp” in black ink. Rupp coached for 41 years and was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1969. Sullivan did play by play for Kentucky Wildcat hoops for 20 years, and also did Cincinnati Reds broadcasts with baseball HOFer Waite Hoyt, before succumbing to cancer at age 42 in 1967.
