A fixture on the Detroit Red Wings for three of the team’s Stanley Cup title runs from 1996 to 2002, Sergei Federov dazzled as one of the game’s premier Russian superstars. This game-used 2002-03 Red Wings road jersey comes from Federov’s final season in Detroit, when he scored 36 goals and added 47 assists during an All-Star campaign. The reverse inner tail of the white jersey features a tag that reads “2002-2003 AUTHENTIC GAME JERSEY PLAYOFF SET” with a printed signature of Paul Boyer, Detroit’s head equipment manager. The size 50 “CCM” jersey features a stitched Red Wings logo on the chest, with “FEDEROV” across the back and his number “91” below both in red tackle twill. Federov’s number “91” also appears on both red sleeves in white tackle twill. A red “1” appears on the back, inside collar of the jersey, likely signifying a set number, with a size “50” tag below. The jersey shows moderate evidence of game use, including several black scuff marks on all areas of the sweater. A tie-down strap also is found on the lower back inside the jersey. The game-used Federov sweater comes with a COA from Hockeytown Authentics, certification number “35378.”
