Spending his entire 20-year career with Houston made Craig Biggio the face of the Astros franchise. He carved out a Hall of Fame worthy career and is a member of the exclusive 3,000 Hit Club. 1999, the season this bat was used, was typical for Biggio as he hit .294 to lead the league in both doubles and plate appearances. The Biggio professional Model Louisville Slugger H176 bat shows light use. His number "7" has been hand written in black marker on both ends. Louisville Slugger typically made 1999 pro model bat without the model number for player's promotional use; however photograph documentation shows that Biggio used these particular bats on occasion in league games.
