On the night of May 14, 1996; during that magical New York Yankees season of Jeffrey Maier, Frank Torre and Derek Jeter’s rookie of the year effort, the early great moment came when Doc Gooden threw a no-hitter against the Seattle Mariners. To commemorate this event, Gooden commissioned and presented these Hamilton watches to his team mates and other Yankee dignitaries. The elegant face contains the interlocking “NY” on the simple navy blue background. Engraved on the reverse is "Dwight Gooden, No-Hitter vs. Seattle, Yankee Stadium and 5-14-96." The watch and its original presentation box remain in unused MINT condition. Also includes: 1) a signed 8 x 10 reading “Doc Gooden No Hitter 5-14-96”. 2) A signed full ticket from this game with a simple “Doc Gooden.” Both above signatures are boldly signed blue Sharpie. 3) OML Selig limited edition ball (13/27) with a blue ink “Doc Gooden” on sweet spot with “No Hitter 5-14-96 vs Seattle” on side panel. Steiner COA for signatures.
