In 2009, the New York Yankees won their fifth World Series title during the Derek Jeter era. This Louisville Slugger P72 model bat was produced for Jeter for use in the 2009 World Series. On the barrel of this 34.25 inch, 32.2 ounce signature model bat is engraved with the model number “P72”, his scripted signature and “2009 WORLD SERIES.” However, the bat is un-cracked and offers no evidence of game use. According to the manufacturer ordering records, this bat was shipped to Jeter for the World Series, but remained unused during the Yankees six game conquest of the Philadelphia Phillies.
