Hall of Famer Early Wynn won exactly 300 career games, winning his final game during the 1963 season. On his road to instant Hall of Fame status Wynn earned career victory No. 298 during the prior season on August 10, 1962. On this day, Wynn threw seven innings, striking out six and allowing a solo home run. This well soiled OAL Joe Cronin ball shows nice game use (possibly from this game), and is signed on a side panel “Early Wynn” in blue ink. Just above the signature is written “298 KC. 1 Ch. 3” but is not necessarily written in Wynn’s own hand. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication, cert number Y39182.
