A virtual lock to be enshrined in Cooperstown as a first-ballot Hall of Famer, baseball’s all-time saves leader, former Yankee great Mariano Rivera, signed this Ceremonial First Pitch 2001 Rawlings Official World Series Baseball in blue ink on the south panel below an iconic American Flag logo memorializing the lives lost in the Sept. 11 attacks. Rivera inscribed the baseball “41/42” below his signature, lending evidence to the limited edition nature of this item. Rivera, owner of 652 career saves, posted a 1.42 ERA in the Yankees’ seven-game World Series loss to the Diamondbacks in 2001. The single-signed baseball comes with a PSA/DNA COA, certification number “X10609.”
