Nolan Ryan, inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1999, ranks in first place for strikeouts in the history of baseball with 5,714 career strikeouts in his 27-years of pitching. An 8-time MLB All-Star, Ryan is also the all-time leader in no-hitters with a record of 7. During his early career, Ryan hand signed this Rawlings Official Lee MacPhail American League Ball in blue ballpoint pen on the east panel. The “HAITI” and 3-Dot stamping on the north panel along with the slight slanting of the word “PRES” indicates the production season of this ball to be from 1978. This ball shows signs of wear from its fading labels and caramel toning and is accompanied by a Sportscard Guaranty Authentic card, certification number AU22629.
