In his rookie season with the New York Yankees in 2008, left-handed hurler Phil Coke appeared in 12 games, allowing just one earned run in 14.2 innings and recorded the last two outs of the sixth inning in the final game at Yankee Stadium. Coke wore this MLB Authentic (#LH176978) size 48, button-down Yankees pinstriped home jersey during that final game at the Stadium on September 21, 2008 and signed his name in bold blue sharpie with a “48” inscription under the team’s iconic interlocking NY logo. Coke’s number 48 is stitched in navy tackle twill on the back. A “Major League All-Star Game N.Y.C. 2008” patch is sewn onto the right sleeve and a “1923-2008 Yankee Stadium” patch is on the left above a black armband the team wore in honor of recently deceased former Yankees outfielder Bobby Murcer. An MLB authentic/Majestic manufacturers label is affixed to the left front tail with “2008” and size “48” flag tags; jersey shows light wear and also comes with Yankees-Steiner Collectibles LOA #49406.
