It is one of the greatest post season defensive plays in MLB history, when Yankee shortstop Derek Jeter ran from his position at short to the first base line and fielded an overthrown baseball form the right fielder. Jeter then “flipped” the ball to catcher Jorge Posada who then tagged out Oakland A’s runner Jeremy Giambi at home plate for the third out of the inning, protecting a 1-0 Yankee lead. This play helped the Yankees stave off elimination and go on to win the next two games and the series. The Yankees then went on and win the 2000 World Series. This 16 x 20 inch photo of the tag also features Jeter’s momentum carrying him away from the play. Each player has signed the photo boldly in black Sharpie, including Jeter, Posada AND Giambi. Framed to a dimension of 21 x 25 inches, although the frame displays some wear including a hole on the bottom panel. Steiner Sports COA.
