Roger Maris played for four teams during his career, ending with two World Series appearances for the St. Louis Cardinals. Maris actually wanted to retire after they won the 1967 World Series, but was lobbied by owner August Busch to remain with the Cardinals for another season. One request Maris had to return for the 1968 season was to given a Budweiser distributorship after he retired. Maris ran the Gainesville, FL, Budweiser distributorship from his retirement to his death in 1985. This 24 x 32.5 inch framed poster for “Bud Light” has been boldly signed “Roger Maris” in blue Sharpie. Interesting poster features a woman on a fighter jet, with Coors Light and Miller Lite “kills” on the plane’s side as part of a Light “Beer War” campaign. Full LOA from PSA/DNA, cert number V06211.
