The last “Super fight” of the 20th century pitted Mexican-American WBC Welterweight champion Oscar De La Hoya vs. Puerto Rican IBF Welterweight champion Felix Trinidad in what was billed as “The Fight of the Millennium,” in Las Vegas, Nevada on September 18, 1999. Although De La Hoya dominated most of the fight he tired and adopted a defensive posture in the final rounds allowing Trinidad to rally for a heavily criticized victory by majority decision. And though the close bout definitely merited a rematch it never happened. This exciting 11” x 14” full color photo captures De La Hoy and Trinidad exchanging blows; Trinidad’s white trunks are stained with blood as he attempts to block De La Hoya’s left cross while throwing a right cross of his own. Both De La Hoya and Trinidad signed the photo in on their likenesses in bold black Sharpie; comes with JSA Certification #K94988.
