Set of three vintage period pieces begins with a New York Yankees lineup card filled in by skipper Billy Martin on April 6, 1983. The Yankees lineup for the day’s game includes: Willie Randolph, Roy Smalley, Dave Winfield, Don Baylor, Steve Kemp, Jerry Mumphrey, Ken Griffey, Graig Nettles, Rick Cerone and Bob Shirley against a Seattle Mariners lineup of: Steve Henderson, Many Castillo, Al Cowens, Richie Zisk, Dave Henderson, Pat Putnam, Todd Cruz, Orlando Mercado, Julio Cruz and Matt Young. The 15” x 8.5” lineup card is in almost perfect condition and contains a folded over strip of adhesive tape at the bottom. The other two lineup cards are contained together in a plastic ringed binder page and are from a Boston Red Sox/Seattle Mariners game on 7-23-83 and a Seattle Mariners/Baltimore Orioles game on 4-30-83. Hall of Famers Wade Boggs and Carl Yastrzemski were in the lineup for the Red Sox against the Mariners on July 23rd against a Mariners team that featured Dave Henderson as its biggest star. Cal Ripken Jr. was in the lineup for the Orioles on April 30, 1983 and still in the second season of his consecutive games played streak which began on May 30, 1982. Hall of Famer Eddie Murray batted cleanup behind Ripken. This pair of cards was filled out neatly by Mariners manager Rene Lachemann.
