Likely signed during the height of his storied managerial career, just between his two mini Philadelphia A’s dynasties, Connie Mack signed this OAL Ban Johnson baseball is his standard flowing script. It is one of the nicest single signed Connie Mack baseballs in the hobby. The off-white Johnson ball has the very appealing red and blue stitching and was produced during the 1917-1919 World War I era. Inked onto the sweet spot is a tremendous Connie Mack black fountain pen signature, grading a solid (“8/10”). While there are some nice Connie Mack single signed baseballs in the hobby, most are signed later in his career, usually in the 1940-1950s and mostly on Harridge or non-league baseballs. This is an earlier Mack signature, signed on a very nice, virtually unused Ban Johnson baseball. This signed baseball is so important, there are two full LOAs. Full LOA from PSA/DNA, cert number W02526, grading the ball as a (“6”) and the Connie Mack signature as an (“8”). Full LOA from James Spence Authentication, cert number B82655. One of the nicest Connie Mack single signed baseballs in existence.
