Two of the most prolific female athletes in Olympics history, Florence Griffith Joyner and Jackie Joyner Kersey combined to bring home five Gold Medals and one Silver from the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul Korea; “Flo-Jo” finished first in the 100 and 200 meter races and was part of the winning 4 X 100M relay team and the second place 4 x 400M squad. Kersey took the Gold in the Heptathlon and Long Jump in 1988 and finished first in the Heptathlon again in 1992. Kersey was named the “Greatest Female Athlete of the 20th Century,” by Sports Illustrated for Women magazine. This October 10, 1988 edition of Sports Illustrated is signed on its cover in bold blue Sharpie by Joyner and Kersey and comes with JSA COA #D21746
