A picture that’s truly worth a thousand words is Roger Maris following through on his historic Babe Ruth record breaking 61st home run on the last day of the 1961 season. Maris swing is fully extended at the split second after making contact and Boston Red Sox catcher Russ Nixon’s hands are still reaching for the ball. Maris’s fourth-inning home run off Tracy Stallard was the only run of the game that day in the Yankees 1-0 victory over the Sox. Maris’ signature is in black ballpoint pen across his body in the 3” x 5” photo matted with a black background in a 12” x 14” jet black metallic frame; comes with JSA LOA.
