Currently in his 20th and final season, New York Yankees’ Derek Jeter has won the 1996 Rookie of the Year Award, five Gold Glove Awards, five Silver Slugger Awards, two Hank Aaron Awards, a Roberto Clemente Award, 14 All-Star selections and five World Series championships. In 2009, Jeter was named as Sports Illustrated magazine’s Sportsman of the Year. Though he had a remarkable season in 2009, his philanthropic work with his Turn 2 Foundation, that donates to organizations to help keep the young generation away from alcohol and drugs, helped him clinch the Sportsman award. Issued Dec. 7, 2009, the Sportsman of the Year edition of Sports Illustrated features Yankees shortstop on the cover. Jeter signed in bold, blue Sharpie to the right of his photo. Yankees’ the “Sandman” Rivera won five American League Rolaids Relief Man Awards, three Delivery Man of the Year Awards, 13 All-Star selections, 1999 World Series MVP, 2003 AL Championship Series MVP and five World Series championships. Rivera leads the MLB in saves at 652 and games finished at 952. Rivera signed both books in bold, black Sharpie in a white signature box on the inside title page.
