This 16” x 20” graphite portrait by artist David Alan Cooney is of the young Mickey Mantle with a contemplative expression on his face that captures the innocence of his rookie season and includes a graphic of his career statistics. Number 317 of 1000 in the artist’s Rookie 1 Series it is signed by Mantle in bold blue sharpie below his face in a white space in between the statistics graphic and the Series logo and is also signed by the artist in graphite pencil next to the limited edition numbering. Frame is 22” x 26” and is equipped with wire-hanging hardware comes with JSA LOA Certification #Y1026.
