Sports portrait painter Leroy Neiman captured the essence of “Scooter” in this poster issued specially for Phil Rizzuto Hall of Fame Day at Yankee Stadium on August 13, 1994. In the days before batting helmets, the diminutive Rizzuto is laying down what looks like a perfect bunt in the poster which is signed in bold blue Sharpie by both Neiman who added an “‘07” date and Rizzuto whose “Holy Cow” inscription appears above his signature with an “HOF 94” below. The 16” x 20” poster is in an ornately trimmed cherry wood 19” x 24” frame equipped with wire-hanging hardware and comes with JSA COA #D21816.
