Babe Ruth and Walter Hagen were teamed up with Billy Burke during the 1936 True Temper Open in Birmingham, MI. According to the 3 x 8.5 inch scorecard, the three players only completed 15 holes; with Burke holding a one shot lead over Hagen, with the Babe 11 shots back. The scorecard side has been signed in blue fountain pen by Ruth and Hagen with the Ruth signature partially affected by an area of paper loss clipping a portion of the capital “B.” Ruth’s signature is also penned over the yardage listings, somewhat affecting the overall visibility. Walter Hagen won a total of 45 tournaments on the PGA tour, including a then record 11 majors, currently third overall behind Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods.
