Making his first appearance with Chicago in 1990, just a year after being drafted by the White Sox, shows how much promise the man soon to be known as "The Big Hurt" had. This bat, which dates from Thomas' second and third year in the Majors, helped the big man hit a combined .321 and 56 home runs as he led the AL in on-base percentage back-to-back summers. The Big Hurt's Worth WC129 model bat show excellent use and is un-cracked. Several ball marks with blue ink transfers can be seen on the barrel along with a weighted batting donut impression and bat rack paint streaks. Thomas' initials "FT", length "4 1/2" and model "WC129" is stamped into the knob. A perfect example of a Big Hurt gamer dating from the prime years of his Hall of Fame career. Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA (I08423) who have graded this bat GU 8.5.
