As the 1999 season began, Carlos Beltran emerged as the Royals starting center fielder. Beginning as the clubs lead-off man, Beltran's power soon saw him moved to the coveted number three spot. The youngster rose to the position by batting close to .300 with 22 home runs and over 100 RBI's as he took home the Rookie of the Year Award. This bat dates from his spectacular debut season. The Louisville Slugger R205 bat shows moderate use and is un-cracked. Beltran's number "36" is located on both ends of the bat. Beltran has signed the bat as well.
