As the most celebrated high school basketball player since Lew Alcindor, LeBron James was the first scholastic hoop player to be named as a first team All American three different seasons. James wore this particular complete uniform including jersey, shorts, wristbands, headband and tattoo arm patch covering was likely worn after his senior season when he was Gatorade National Player of the Year for the second consecutive season. The emerald green mesh jersey has the “On Sports XXL” manufacturers logo on the outer tail with team nick name “IRISH” and his number “23” on the front and the number “23” on the reverse. All lettering and numerals are in painted appliqué. The matching shorts also have the “On Sports XXL” manufacturer’s size tag. The additional worn items include a gold wristband embroidered with “LJ23” and a headband with the NBA logo. IN addition, there are several programs and items from several of the post high school tournaments LeBron participated in during his senior season and prior to being drafted number 1 overall. First, is the December 12, 2002 program for the Progressive Insurance High School basketball Classic, with a ticket stub dated from the December 15, 2002 game. Second, the EA RoundBall Classic tournament, dated 3.31.03. Also, three passes for the 2003 NBA Draft party hosted by LeBron James, with two VIP passes. The complete uniform comes with a MEARS Full LOO, graded A5. Also, and LOA from Dave Ammerman, noted media personality, who received the jersey from a long-time collector of LeBron James items from his high school days.
