A great Hall of Fame-worthy bat from one of the Reds all-time greats. Perez made a triumphant return to Cincinnati where he earlier helped win three World Championships and establish himself as a Cooperstown-bound force. Though at the end of his 23 year career, Perez had one final burst of greatness in 1985 when he hit .328, briefly unleashing the power that earned him the nickname "Big Dog". Perez' Louisville Slugger R43 bat shows heavy use and has a crack in the back barrel with a piece measuring 1" x 8" missing. His number "24" is hand written on the knob end in blue marker and the shadows of adhesive tape are visible on the handle. This taping is evidence of this being one of Perez' batting practice bats and its heavy use shows it to have been one of his favorites! Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA (1B08394).
