The 2005 season proved to be very fruitful to Albert Pujols as he won the Most Valuable Player award in helping lead the St. Louis Cardinals to the NLCS. This 33-7/8 inch, 32 ounce un-cracked Louisville Slugger I13L model bat exhibits nice evidence of game use. Along the barrel are multiple ball marks and stitch impressions including blue ink transfers. Noticeable cleat marks are upon the barrel, and there is a light coating of Mota stick on the handle. The barrel appears cleaned, as the lettering does not have any coloring, and is a Pujols trademark. The length (4) and weight (1.5), Pujols’ number “5” and the word “Game” are written on the knob in black marker. His number is also written on the cupped end. On the sweet spot is a boldly applied “Albert Pujols “05 NL MVP” signature and inscription. Full LOA from PSA/DNA,GU-10 cert number 1B08390.
