Cooperstown Bat Co. issued a commemorative bat collection in the late 1990s called the “Immortal Series” and are similar in design to the wonderful decal bats of the early part of the 20th century. This collection includes full length bats of Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Ty Cobb, Honus Wagner and Joe Jackson, all numbered 40/1000, and are so described on the sealed LOAs which accompany each bat. However, three of the LOA’s are stuck to the glue as part of Cooperstown Bat Company envelopes which house the LOAs. Bats also have the limited edition number “40” stamped on the knob. All are in NM-MT condition.
