After losing two straight World Series to their same stadium brethren, the 1923 New York Yankees finally won a World Series, beating their New York Giants nemesis in six games and celebrating their new Yankee Stadium. This program incorporates the same design elements as the previous two World Series programs, featuring portrait images of the two opposing managers: John McGraw of the Giants and Miller Huggins of the Yankees. The fact Huggins’ portrait is to the left of Huggins' denotes this program as having been issued at Yankee Stadium, as each program issued for the 1923 World Series was identical save for the placement of the portrait images on the cover with the home team's manager was always positioned to the left. The large-format (9.25 x 11 inch) twenty-page program features interior portrait images of members of the Yankees and Giants, as well as various team and league officials. It grades excellent overall condition with a prominent vertical pocket fold down the middle with moderate edge wear to the fully intact spine. A significant World Series program, the first ever for the Yankees and the first Yankee title for Babe Ruth, who hit .368 overall with three home runs. Excellent overall condition.
