Lifelong baseball man Mel Stottlemyre spent 20 years in Yankees pinstripes, 11 as a pitcher from 1964-1974 and nine as pitching coach for the most recent Yankees “Dynasty” teams from 1996-2005. Stottlemyre signed this game worn 1999 button-down pinstriped home jersey with a “Game Used” and “1999 World Series” inscriptions on the 3 in his number 34 which is applied in navy blue tackle twill on the back. The Yankees iconic interlocking NY logo is also in navy blue tackle twill on the front left and a “1999 MLB World Series patch is on the right sleeve with a black armband in memory of Catfish Hunter and number “5” in honor of the late great “Yankee Clipper” Joe DiMaggio is on the left. Russell Athletic/Diamond Collection size-46 manufacturers label with “100% Polyester” flag tag and “Stottlemyre 99” strip tag are attached to the left front tail. Jersey has been PSA/DNA pre-certified and comes with LOAs from Mel Stottlemyre and noted sports jersey expert Dave Miedema.
