After being named "Minor League Player of the Year" in 1993, the Indians called up the young slugger for the rest of the season. In his second big league game, played in his hometown of New York City, Manny busted out two home runs in a 3 for 4 assault on Yankee pitchers. The next year, he finished second in the Rookie of the Year voting, but it was 1995 that saw Ramirez become a true star. Batting .308 with 31 homers, Ramirez led the Indians to the post season where he added three more round trippers to his season tally. This great gamer dates from Manny's first three spectacular summers in the big leagues. The Cooper T141 bat shows moderate use. The bat has been cracked and repaired with glue. Manny's number "24" has been applied to the knob end. An important bat from one of baseball's true stars early years. Letter of Authenticity (1B08447) from PSA/DNA who have graded this bat GU 8.
