During the late 1990s-early 2000s run of New York Yankee post season appearances, Mel Stottlemyre was the eyes and ears of the Yankees pitching staff for manager Joe Torre, and was often seen in these late October games conferring with Torre on pitching changes. During these cold weather contests, Stottlemyre wore these two heavy jackets. Each jacket is navy blue with snap closures, and “Yankees” across the front in white on navy tackle twill. Each also has a bold, Sharpie “Mel Stottlemyre” signature under the paraph, and the Yankee logo patch on the left shoulder. Includes: 1) Authentic Diamond Collection patch with attached “XL” patch. Tremendous use with multiple areas of staining. 2) Starter Diamond Collection patch with number “34” in black marker, and “XL” size flag tag. Two inside tags with manufacturers code and a second location manufacturers tag. Excellent use with wear along cuffs. Both come with an LOA from Mel Stottlemyre.
