Following their simultaneous assault on the single-season home run record, Roger Maris and Mickey Mantle were instant cash cows on Madison Avenue and in Hollywood. Taking advantage of their popularity, Columbia Pictures produced a movie title “Safe At Home”. This one-sheet movie poster was issued to hawk the fence-clearing duo’s appearance in the 1962 production, and shows Mantle and Maris holding “The Luckiest Kid in the World” on their shoulders in the triumphant final scene. On the front of each player is a bold Sharpie signature. This item presents very well, has some light stains, exhibits normal compacting folds, and is framed to an approximate dimension of 24 x 30 inches. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication (JSA).
