New York Giants wide receiver Mario Manningham played a pivotal role in his team’s run to a Super Bowl title during the 2011 season. Manningham erupted in the Giants’ 20-17 win over the 49ers in the NFC Championship game that year, catching six passes for 77 yards, including a 17-yard touchdown. Manningham’s effort in that contest is undeniable when looking at this signed, game-used jersey. Manningham signed the “8” on the back of his number “82” jersey in bold, silver Sharpie, along with the inscriptions “Game Used 11-13-11” and “vs 49ers.” On the reverse side “2” the inscriptions “6 rec. 77 yds,” “1 TD” and “NFC East Champs” are found in matching silver Sharpie. “MANNINGHAM” appears across the back of the jersey in red tackle twill on a white name plate, while his “82” graces the front, back and shoulders, also in red tackle twill. The game-used fitted mesh jersey is covered in grass stains from Candlestick Park, lending some real character to the piece. A “Reebok” manufacturers label is found on the inside collar of the jersey, with Manningham’s number “82” written in blue sharpie. The signed, game-used jersey comes with a JSA LOA and is PSA/DNA authenticated certification number “W89031.”
