The National League’s 2012 MVP, San Francisco Giants catcher Buster Posey hit a league-leading .336 with 24 home runs and 103 RBI using bats like this Louisville Slugger M9 model D200 Buster Posey professional model. Posey signed the white Maple TPX bat in bold black sharpie with a “28” and “GU 13” inscriptions between the Louisville Slugger M9 label and his facsimile signature and Genuine D200, San Francisco Giants branding on the barrel. Bat is un-cracked and shows intense game use with a heavy concentration of ball marks, stitch impressions and blue ink transfers on the cupped barrel’s sweet spot. Posey applied a moderate coating of Mota stick to the handle and a mark on the handle identifying the face grain of the bat is mandatory per Major League Baseball’s rules for all Maple bats since January 2009. The (01/31/13) date of manufacture, 34.0 inch length, 31.0-ounce weight, and “VM” (Vacuum Maple) as well as “LDM” (Low Density Maple) stamped into the knob. Bat and signature have been authenticated by Lojo Sports and comes with PSA/DNA letter of grading and authenticity rating: GU9.
