A writer was at a sports card show in Albany, NY one weekend in 1994, when he asked a bartender "What is there to do in Albany on a Saturday night?" The Barkeep mentioned, “Why don’t you go see the Yankees play?” Yes, the Albany-Colonie Yankees, literally five minutes down the road. That was when this writer saw Derek Jeter play for the first time. So, in this game were four future Major League players including Derek Jeter at shortstop and Mariano Rivera on the mound. This glossy, Albany-Colonie photo ball has been signed by 18 members of that Double A Yankee team including Manager Billy Evers (sweet spot), plus future Major League players Mariano Rivera, Andy Fox, Derek Jeter, Brian Boehringer, plus 14 more teammates. These black ink signatures are bold, with the Rivera and Jeter signatures being (“8-9”) in strength. Interestingly, all four future Major League players were part of the 1996 New York Yankees World Championship team just two short seasons later. Full LOA from JSA.
