Cincinnati Reds three-time All-Star and four-time Gold Glove winning second baseman Brandon Phillips used this 33.5-inch, 32.2-ounce special issue pink Louisville Slugger M9 C271 model bat (labeling period: 2006-2008) as part of Major League Baseball’s Mother’s Day/Breast Cancer awareness program. Phillips signed the bat in bold black Sharpie next to the MLB Mother’s Day ribbon logo with a “Game Used” inscription on the barrel. Un-cracked Maple TPX bat shows heavy game use with a concentration of black ink transfers and stitch marks on the left barrel. There is some black pine tar staining on the handle and Phillips number “4” and a cross are written in black marker on the knob with another cross drawn on the end of the barrel. Comes with PSA/DNA certification # 4A63996 for the signature and PSA/DNA Letter of Grading and Authenticity Certification # 1B04607, PSA GU-10.
