On September 10, 2013 Mariano Rivera was called on to protect a 7-5 Yankees lead over the Baltimore Orioles with two outs in the bottom of the eighth inning at Oriole Park and in typical Mariano fashion retired the next four batters he faced in order to record his 42nd save of the season and the 650th of his Major League record 652. Rivera signed this MLB Authentic (#EK 175803) Rawlings Official Bud Selig Major League ball, used that day, in blue ballpoint pen in his impeccable penmanship with a “Save #650 9/10/13” inscription on the sweet spot. Dirty ball shows good game use with a hard, red dirt scuff mark to the side of the official labeling and plenty of bat marks and smudges; comes with Steiner Sports Memorabilia COA.
