No pre-war player was photographed as much as the greatest of them all – Babe Ruth. This lot contains 34 photos of Ruth, most which were later in his life, many of his very public funeral and casket procession. However, a few photos include Ruth with former players. One such image has Ruth flanked by Ty Cobb and Tris Speaker, and another featuring Ruth receiving another award for his contributions to baseball form then Yankee slugger Joe DiMaggio. This presentation took place a mere two months before Ruth passed away. All photos measure from 5 x 7 to 8 x 10 inches, and include the usual editor markings, paper captions, stampings etc. Tremendous collection original photos of Babe Ruth.
