Hall of Fame hurler Carl Hubbell’s claim to fame, outside of twice being named the NL MVP and leading the New York Giants to a World Series title in 1933, was his mesmerizing screwball that baffled five future Hall of Famers in the 1934 All-Star Game. Hubbell struck out Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Jimmie Foxx, Al Simmons and Joe Cronin in succession in the contest, an accomplishment that will live on forever in baseball lure. Hubbell signed this ONL Giamatti baseball in bold, blue ink on the sweet spot with the inscription “HOF 1947” below. The signed baseball comes with a JSA LOA, certification number “X78915.”
