When The Bambino was dying, Hollywood began the production of his life story. William Bendix was cast as the Babe, and in this August 1948 magazine ad, it is shown what Bendix did to prepare for the role, and how he relaxes between takes. Astonishingly, Bendix loved to drink Royal Crown Cola between film sessions! There are seven caricatures of Bendix/Ruth surrounding a large photographic image of Bendix as Ruth. The 10 x 13.5 inch advertisement remains in excellent condition with minor edge wear, and is framed to a dimension of 12 x 15 inch.
