Teammates on the 1980 Philadelphia Phillies Word Series championship club, it’s doubtful that Mike Schmidt would have acquired his one and only World Series ring without Pete Rose joining the team in 1979; Schmidt acknowledged Rose in his Hall of Fame induction speech in 1995. This 35-inch, Hillerich and Bradsby Powerized Louisville Slugger Genuine Pete Rose model bat is signed by Rose in bold black Sharpie with a “To Mike Best Wishes to a Super Player.” Never been used natural White Ash toned bat has a shiny lacquer finish from the top of the handle to the end of the barrel where Rose’s number “14” is inscribed in black marker. Bat was crafted to Rose’s own specs with “S22” engraved on its knob where Rose’s number “14” is also written in black Sharpie and “35” in pencil. The barrel and signature have been protected by a white tube sock and the bat is derived from the Philadelphia slugger’s personal collection and comes with a notarized letter of authenticity from Mike Schmidt.
