A great photograph showing the passing of the torch between the retiring veteran shortstop Cal Ripken Jr and his successor Derek Jeter. Taken during Ripken's last game at Yankee Stadium, the two men shake hands before a packed Stadium crowd. Both superstars have boldly signed the photograph, Ripken adding "Last Game at Yankee Stadium 9-30-01" and Jeter adding his number "2" and "Captain". MLB, Cooperstown Collection, Players Choice and Steiner logos are in the lower right corner and a Steiner hologram is in the lower left. The color 16" x 20" MLB photograph has been professionally matted and framed and measures 23 1/2" x 27". The frame has some condition issues, specifically a 1" missing chip in the top right corner and various surface scuffs. A great piece marking the last on-field meeting of the generations two greatest shortstops.
