Always playing the good, solid and moral "Every Man", Jimmy Stewart became one of Hollywood's most beloved actors. A real war hero, Stewart embodied all that was good with Hollywood and America throughout a career that lasted seven decades. This remarkable collection of 5 signed contracts cover three of those decades in which he appeared in classics like "Rear Window", "Anatomy of a Murder", "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance", "Vertigo" and "The Shootist" - do I need to list more? The first contract is dated January, 1956 and is 3 double-sided letter size pages signed on the last page by Stewart in blue ball point. The stapled contract shows some wear from age but the signature is clean and strong. A 1957 dated American Federation of Television and Radio Artists contract is a folded 4 pages that is signed on the last page in blue ball point. A horizontal fold runs through Stewart's signature but the paper is not cracked and the signature is strong. A stapled 3 page double-sided 1958 dated Manager's Contract is signed on the last page in black ball point by Stewart. The contract has been folded but the fold does not affect Stewart's strong signature. Two 2-page double-sided Actors Equity Managers Contracts are each signed on the last page, the 1968 dated contract in black ball point, the 1971 dated contract in blue ball point. Both signatures are strong examples. A nice lot of five signatures, dating from several dishing periods of his illustrious career. All items are Pre-Certified by PSA/DNA.
