No man embodied the promise and adventure of the Old West than Buffalo Bill Cody. During his long life Cody did it all - Civil War cavalryman, muleskinner, bison hunter and an Indian scout. Most importantly Cody was able to harness the excitement of the frontier, package it up and bring it to eager audiences around the world. His famed "Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show" almost single-handedly created the legend of America's West and made the humble farm boy from Iowa a rich man. This wonderful cut signature evokes all the excitement of a cattle stampede and exhilaration of a gunfight. Below a salutation of "Truly Yours" is Cody's full name of W.F. Cody and underneath is the name millions know him by: "Buffalo Bill". This black fountain pen cut autograph is a quintessential piece of The Old West memorabilia, as essential to any Americana collection as a Colt .44 Peacemaker and Stetson "Boss of the Plains" hat. The back of the 2 5/8" x 3 1/2" cut piece shows evidence of removal from a scrapbook. Encapsulated by PSA/DNA and graded Authentic.
