Tyrone Wheatley spent 10 seasons in the NFL, with the first four years as a New York Giant. Wheatley wore this blue Reebok NFL Pro Line size 42 heavy mesh jersey during his last season with Big Blue in 1998. He totaled 52 yards on 14 carries in five games. Wheatley’s number 28 is white with red outlines and is screen printed on the front of the jersey while the shoulder and back numbers are sewn on tackle twill. A nameplate with “WHEATLEY” is sewn on the back shoulder. The collar and arm are sewn with a red/white/red striped ribbing and the NFL shield is sewn on the front v-neck. There are two tags at the base of the jersey with one reading “NFL PRO LINE 1998 GIANTS REEBOK AUTHENTIC” and the other with a Giants helmet logo “1998 Set 1 MeiGray Group 103128”. This jersey comes with a Certificate of Registration from The MeiGray Group (103128) and a letter from Ed Wagner, Equipment Manager of the New York Giants, attesting to Wheatley wearing this jersey during the 1998 season.
